Australia, the sixth largest country in the world by land area is in need of Filipino skilled workers this 2015. Experienced OFWs who are currently residing in the Philippines can apply directly to respective POEA accredited agencies which have approved job orders from Australian employers.

In recent report published on 2014 by employment.gov.au, as of December 2014 Australia has an ongoing manpower shortage for the following categories: Agriculture and Horticulture, Automotive trades, building Professions and technicians, child care occupations, construction trades, metal workers, food trades, hairdresser, and several health professions. The data in the report are based on survey of employers who recently advertised the job openings which is part of the Department of Employment skills shortage research programme.
